Farm magazine spotlights Katie Radosevic of Cornville

The December/January issue of national circulation magazine, Farm & Ranch
Living, carries a feature story about Katie Radosevic of Cornville and her goat
mild soap making project.
The story, written by Willma Gore, Villago of Oak Creek, and illustrated by Lin
Ennis, Sedona, tells of Katie’s goat raising project, first launched through her
membership in the local 4-H club. Her first goats were pygmy goats but by now
her herd of a dozen regular dairy goats provides the milk for the family’s Two
Bob Caprine Dairy in Cornville.
Katie is a student at Verde Valley High School. Her soap, now produced in
several fragrances under the label, “Bea’s Beauty Bar,” is a project begun when
the fresh goats produced more milk than the dairy had customers for.
Katie mass-produces the sap in the family kitchen and packages each bar in a
wrap she designed. She got a loan for her project from the USDA with which she
and her dad built a milking parlor.
She does all the daily milking, strains and freezes the milk in the milking
parlor freezer.
By now Bea’s Beauty Bars have nearly repaid the loan, and are available in local
boutiques in Cottonwood and Sedona.
